Sound-Link is the official UK distributor for Microtech Gefell microphones, AETA Audio codecs, ME-Geithain monitor loudspeakers, HUM Audio ribbon microphones, the Håkan Pop Killer and True Phantom.
At SoundPro’19 Sound-Link will show several codecs from AETA Audio. “Being first audio experts as well as an IP codec company, AETA’s codecs have exceptional sound quality that can take the high dynamic range of commentators,” says SoundLink’s John Willett. “These people often talk normally at one moment and then suddenly shout loudly when, for example, a goal is scored. Also, the connectivity of AETA’s codecs is superb in that they can easily be connected to other manufacturers’ codecs at the far end and not only to AETA models.”
AETA first showed the new eScoopFone smartphone codec app in September in Europe and it’s making its first appearance in the UK at SoundPro’19. “This new codec is perfect for spontaneous and flexible news gathering,” remarks Willett.
AETA codecs have a unique ‘Remote Access’ option, enabling a codec to be fully remotely controlled anywhere in the world; very useful in case the journalist on-site needs support from a technician in the Master Control Room. All AETA codecs come with a SIP account as standard.
The popular ScoopTeam is the codec of choice for many international sports broadcasters and has: AoIP via Ethernet, 3G, 4G and WiFi as well as ISDN and one or two Ravenna AES67 modules to give four or eight audio channels respectively.
In addition, we will also be showing microphones from both Microtech Gefell and the new HUM Audio ribbon microphones.
